Accident Reports

No matter how smoothly a railroad is running, there are going to be problems. I've decided to start documenting some of the major wrecks. Click on the photos for larger views.

Wreck of the Shore Lark

Engineer slams sleeping car.

What should have been peaceful layover in Manchester turned very bad when B&M RDC #6209 failed to make it's station stop... pushing the unoccupied B&M sleeping car Shore Lark into the bumper, and overturning it. Luckily no one was seriously hurt. Commuters aboard the RDC claim to have heard the engineer screaming that she couldn't see, then they slammed to a stop. Within a year of this accident, the engineer in question was dismissed because of irreconcible differences.
